Dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen!
You may not quite understand why our Association is acting as a link between two countries that are not so close? Switzerland and the former Soviet Union are inseparable antipodes! As in physics, in our world, opposites attract: small and huge, stable and volatile, thrifty and wasteful—these are just some of the characteristics of these disparate countries. But even in these countries, individuals have emerged who have shouldered the enormous responsibility of ensuring that, in many respects, their homeland becomes as close to Switzerland as possible. These are entrepreneurs and public figures who embody the best of what has been created in recent years. Many of them are now our associate members. Among them are those who have built the most beautiful and functional homes, created modern and efficient enterprises in oil production, finance, transportation, communications, logistics, and much more. They have everything except one thing: confidence in the future, which Switzerland gives them.
The Swiss-Eurasian Business Association was founded in November 1998 in Geneva. It is a non-governmental, non-profit, private organization established and operating under the laws and regulations of Switzerland. Its goal is to develop economic ties with Switzerland by creating and fostering personal relationships based on deep respect and trust between business leaders and prominent political and cultural figures. The Association is an active participant in interstate economic relations and enjoys the trust and support of government organizations and diplomatic missions of both countries.
In this regard, Association members are granted a number of significant privileges. Chief among these is a unique resource for effective solutions to a wide variety of issues that our compatriots typically face when they find themselves in Switzerland. These include health issues, raising children, personal education and professional development, prospects for expanding the market for their goods and services to Switzerland and Europe, legal, banking, and tax matters, and finding reliable partners and consultants. Since 1998, the Association has relentlessly sought the most optimal solutions for its members to address all of these issues, and today, by becoming a new member, you gain direct access to all of these proven solutions. The Association is constantly seeking new business development opportunities and interesting business contacts for its members.
The successful integration of Switzerland into the Schengen area will enable SEBA to provide our members with benefits in accordance with our motto: BUSINESS BY THE RULES, BUT WITHOUT BORDERS!
I sincerely appreciate your interest in SEBA after reading this letter. Whether you are already a member or are considering becoming one, let me assure you: the Association will remain, as it always has, your reliable representative in Switzerland and the protector of your personal and business interests.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Maxim ARTAMONOV
Secretary General of SEBA.
